Intensions Study in the Vancouver Sun

On June 20, 2020, the Vancouver Sun published an article titled, ‘COVID-19: Studies show B.C. dads spending more time with their kids during pandemic.’ Written by Tiffany Crawford, the story was based on findings from our recent Intensions Consulting and Canadian Men’s Health Foundation study exploring the impact of COVID-19 on Canadian fathers.

To quote from the article: “Many B.C. dads say the COVID-19 pandemic has brought them closer to their kids and they are worried about going back to their old lives when they were too busy with commutes and working long hours, suggests a pair of new studies. The first study, a survey conducted in May on behalf of the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation by Intensions Consulting, asked B.C. fathers about the impact of the COVID lockdown on their role as fathers. It found that 59 per cent of B.C. dads felt closer to their children, while 48 per cent said they were more aware of their importance as a father. Thirty-eight per per cent said they felt the lockdown has had a positive impact on their roles as fathers.”
